About Hillcrest Church:

Hillcrest Church is seeking a diligent and dependable Facilities Team Member to help maintain our church facilities, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all visitors and members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all facility spaces.

  • Set up and break down spaces for church services, events, and meetings.

  • Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.

  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.

  • Assist with landscaping and grounds maintenance as needed.

  • Perform snow removal duties, including some Saturdays and Sundays.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Facilities Director.

  • Support the church's mission by providing a welcoming and well-maintained environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Class 5 Drivers Licence

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • A positive and encouraging attitude when working with staff and volunteers.

  • Capability to recruit, organize, manage, and supervise volunteers.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and moving heavy objects.

Preferred Skills/Certificates:

  • WHMIS and First Aid/CPR certification.

  • Experience working in a church or non-profit setting.

Expectations & Guidelines:

The Facilities Team Member is expected to:

  • Lead in alignment with the directives of the Executive Pastor and Facilities Director.

  • Operate in accordance with the vision and strategy of Senior Leadership.

  • Adhere to the church’s Employee Lifestyle Agreement, Confidentiality Agreement, and Employee Handbook.
