“You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses.
Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others.”
Everyone needs a mentor. Even the great Apostle Paul had Barnabas. Paul also had Timothy to encourage in the faith and pass along what he had received. Then Paul instructed Timothy to make sure he passed along those same truths to “other trustworthy people,” who would pass them on to others.
That’s the nature of discipleship. We all need someone to help us in our Christian walk. And there will always be someone we can help.
