Feeding the hungry in the name of Jesus
Prairie Gleaners is a charitable society located just south of Medicine Hat, AB. We seek to help those in need by utilizing unmarketable produce that would otherwise go to waste.
WHAT WE DO:
We receive produce from very generous greenhouse owners/operators and farms in Southern Alberta and turn it into a dehydrated vegetable mix which can then be shipped all across the world to feed the hungry.
As a Christian based volunteer organization, our mission is to share the love of God with the world by caring for those in need. We seek to minimize the food waste that we see all around us and use our resources to provide for those who are lacking. We believe in using our abundance for the good of others so that we can share hope and joy all across the world by providing a helping hand and a nutritious meal to those who might otherwise go without.
In 2024 we averaged 30 volunteers per day. 298,119 kg of produce was received and 37,103 bags of finished product were created! We were blessed to send shipments of product to: Ukraine, Tanzania, Cuba, Mexico, Dominican, Belize and Ghana last year.

We connect Medicine Hat locals to international people by building meaningful relationships through assisting newcomers in learning local customs and ways of life in Canada. Our ultimate goal is to create a future where diverse cultures can enrich and inspire one another, promoting empathy, collaboration, and mutual learning.

Canadian Bridge Of Hope-INDIA
Canadian Bridge of Hope is a charitable non-profit organization based in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Our support directly aids in food, shelter, and education of children, providing college training and job opportunities, and making health care available to those who will otherwise go without in rural parts of India.
EMCC Partnership
As a member of the Evangelical Missionary Church of Canada, HIllcrest partners with our denomination as they develop Global Missions partnerships.
Hillcrest Community Care
Our Furniture Ministry delivers gently used furniture to families in need based upon referrals from local Community Agencies. The Community Care fund also supports our Palliative Care basket ministry and helps.
Rescue Cambodia
We are a haven for orphan and at risk children, families living with HIV/AIDS, and destitute elderly women.
MEDICINE HAT COLLEGE CAMPUS MINISTRY
Offering spiritual support and encouragement to students at the Medicine Hat College.
Nehemiah Construction Ministries
Locally directed charity drilling water wells in Northern Kenya. Bringing clean drinking water to the the people living in the Turkana region.

Supporting the persecuted church in Northern Nigeria
Nurture Pregnancy Centre
As a Christian Non-Profit organization right here in Medicine Hat, they are demonstrating Christ’s love by assisting those facing challenges during and after pregnancy

Located in the Cypress Hills, our purpose is to be a place away from the ordinary settings of life where relationships with Jesus Christ can grow and deepen. We are excited about the upcoming season - we offer many camps for different ages as well as retreat bookings etc.
