The Ministry provided furniture & household items to 201 homes in 2025. This is 23 more needs met than last year. To manage resources and assist as many folks as possible, we work with community organizations like St. Vincent de Paul, The Women’s Shelter, Medicine Hat Housing, McMan & Alberta Addiction and Mental Health. Once they assist their clients in securing housing, they refer them to us to provide the basic comforts of home. This year we were able to supply 82 new double beds and 29 single beds to those who needed them.
The generosity of our congregation and community is inspiring and what makes this ministry possible. The delivery team picked up gently used furniture from 185 homes in the community and small kitchen & household items were dropped off at the Church Office on almost a daily basis!
We held a Trinkets & Treasures sale in April where we set up a small market containing items that came in with household donations that were not considered useful for our clients. We allowed people to offer any amount as a donation for these items. Just over $1000 was raised and was used to purchase new beds & pillows.
